On August 2 in Northlake, Illinois, as a part of the 2022 Cannabis Drinks Expo, organized by the Beverage Trade Network, Illinois Women in Cannabis (IWC) will host a workshop on creating female-led cannabis beverage brands.
Two cities will host the exhibition in 2022: San Francisco on July 28 and the Chicago metropolitan area on August 2. The IWC event will be held on August 2 at the Midwest Conference Center in Northlake, located at 401 West Lake Street.
According to Cannabis Drinks Expo, the IWC panel will be moderated by Amor Montes De Oca, executive director of Illinois Women in Cannabis, and will include the following panelists: Lisa Hurwitz, president of Happi, Michigan’s first THC-infused beverage; Meagen Anderson, director of wholesale at Highway Horticulture; and Wendy Berger, co-founder of Illinois Women in Cannabis and board member/founder of WBS Eq.
In order to examine how women utilize cannabis-infused drinks and the “implication of portability, palatability, and sociability on product development, branding, and marketing,” IWC has put together an all-female panel of cannabis industry executives, according to the event’s organizers.
According to a statement from Cannabis Drinks Expo, “Expo topics include boosting the overall category by displaying successful exhibitors, developing networking opportunities, and analyzing present multistate bottlenecks.” “The show will have both a national and international focus, providing multistate operators with synergistic commercial prospects as the industry expands.”
IWC was founded in 2014 with the intention of becoming Illinois’ top industrial networking group. The third annual Cannabis Drinks Expo aims to give the cannabis and beverage industries a venue for networking, education, and brand sourcing.
