Tap root came out during germination — did I kill it?
If the taproot snapped off completely, the seed is probably done. If it just got exposed or slightly damaged, plant it immediately — taproot facing down, 1/2 inch deep. Handle seeds with tweezers, never bare fingers. The taproot is extremely fragile.

Went through this exact scenario. Fixed it by adjusting watering schedule and it bounced back in 3 days.

Also check your pH! So many problems trace back to incorrect pH.
