Was upgrading your light actually worth the money?
After two years under a cheap blurple from Amazon, I finally caved and got a mid-range quantum board. The difference in my last run was pretty noticeable, tighter nodes, better density, but I'm honestly not sure how much of that was the light versus me just getting more experience. Hard to isolate one variable when you're always tweaking something.
I keep seeing guys on here say the light is the single most important investment you can make, and I get the logic. But I also know guys running decent results under older style LEDs because they dialed in everything else really well. Makes me wonder if I jumped too soon or if i should have gone even higher end.
For anyone who made a similar upgrade, did you notice a clear before and after, or was it more subtle than you expected? Trying to figure out if my next dollar should go toward even better light or if I've hit the point of diminishing returns and should focus on other stuff like environment or nutrients.
