How many cannabis plants can I legally grow? State by state

Just moved to a new state and trying to figure out the growing laws. Where do you find up-to-date info on plant limits? My last state allowed 6 plants but I've heard some states allow more. Also — do autoflowers and photoperiods count differently? I've heard conflicting info.

NORML.org has a state-by-state guide that stays pretty updated. Also check r/microgrowery for state-specific info from local growers.

Check your state's cannabis commission website — they always have the most current info. Laws change frequently. General overview: - Most legal states allow 6 plants per household (3 flowering) - Some states like Oregon allow more - A few states still don't allow home growing even with legal cannabis Autoflowers and photoperiods count the same — a plant is a plant regardless of type.
