Popped a full pack, 6 phenos, week 2 veg update
Running a small pheno hunt right now, popped 8 beans and kept 6 females so far. Week 2 of veg and the variation is already wild. These things are expressing totally different from each other and i'm already getting excited about what's coming at flower time.
Two of them are dark, wide-leafed and almost purplish at the nodes. Slow growers but when i rubbed a leaf on one of them yesterday it left this dank, almost sour grape funk on my fingers. Really loud even this early. Those two are the ones i'm watching closest.
Then there's a tall sativa-leaning pheno, lighter green, very internodal stretch already. She smells cleaner, almost like a citrus pine situation. Could be gassy come flower or could just be a one-trick pony, hard to say yet. The remaining three are pretty middle-of-the-road, nothing popping off on the nose quite yet.
My plan is to run all 6 to week 3 or 4 and start making cuts based on smell and structure. I've learned the hard way that the loud ones early usually stay loud, so those two dark phenos are already looking like keepers to me.
Curious if anyone else has run this strain and noticed similar splits early in veg. Did the grapey terp phenos hold up through cure or did they shift on you?
