tired of autos getting disrespected on every thread

every time someone asks about autos there's always that one guy who shows up like "just run photos bro, way better yields, way more control" and then disappears. cool story. i've been running a perpetual harvest in a 3x3 for two years straight with nothing but autos and i'm pulling something every 5-6 weeks. you tell me what photo setup does that without a second tent and a complicated light schedule. my last Purple Lemonade Auto run went 63 days seed to harvest. yielded just over 2oz off one plant under a single 200w light. not a record, not trying to brag, just saying that's real usable medicine on a short timeline with zero light stress drama. i've had photos hermie on me from a storm knocking the timer loose. never had that problem with an auto. the "autos have weak genetics" thing was maybe true like 8 years ago. it's not 2015 anymore. the gene pools are deep now. terpenes are there, potency is there, structure is way better than it used to be. i've had dispensary regulars not believe me when i told them what i was growing. lst on autos works fine too since i always see people say you can't train them. you just have to be gentler and start early, like day 18-20 once you've got 4-5 nodes. i top mine occasionally too and the only ones i've lost to it were ones i topped too late. that's user error, not a genetics problem. look i get it, photos have their place and massive outdoor runs make sense with them. but for a home grower in a small tent who wants consistent harvests without a veg tent, autos are genuinely hard to beat. the snobbery is just tired at this point.
