Anyone made the jump from DWC to RDWC?
Running a 4x4 with four separate 5-gallon buckets right now and the pH drift between them is driving me nuts. I'm checking each bucket individually, sometimes getting a 0.3 variance across the four, and trying to keep them all dialed to 5.8 is a part-time job. EC swings are slightly less bad but still inconsistent. I'm at the point where I'm seriously looking at converting to a recirculating setup just to have one res to manage.
The part that has me hesitant is the plumbing and the failure points. With individual DWC buckets, if one pump dies, I lose one plant. With RDWC, a clog or a pump failure could tank the whole run. My current setup pulls about 1.6 EC during early veg and ramps to 2.0 by week 5 of flower, and i'm nervous about whether a shared res handles those transition points cleanly across different-sized plants.
For anyone who has made this switch, was the consistency actually as good as people claim, and how long did it take you to feel confident in the system? Also curious what res size you landed on relative to your plant count.
