Root rot in DWC — brown slimy roots
Pulled my net pot to check roots and they're brown and slimy instead of white. Reservoir water smells bad. Plant is wilting despite being in water. This is root rot right? Can I save the plant?

Environment is key here. What's your temp and humidity? Sometimes the symptom looks like a nutrient issue but it's actually environmental.

Same thing happened to me when I was overfeeding. Backed off the nutrients by 50% and new growth came in healthy within a week.

Had this exact issue last grow. What fixed it for me was flushing with pH'd water and letting the soil dry out before feeding again at half strength.

Don't panic! This is recoverable. The plant is tougher than you think. Make the adjustment and give it a few days to respond.
