🚨Cannabis Grow Problemsby DIYNutes_MikeExperienced7d ago

Week 5 yellowing, N def or just natural fade?

Running a Zkittlez pheno right now, day 34 of flower, and the lower and mid fan leaves are starting to yellow and drop. Not crispy, not spotted, just going pale yellow and falling. My pH is dialed at 6.1 runoff, and i'm feeding a full macro profile, roughly 150 ppm N in the current mix with calcium nitrate and potassium nitrate as my nitrogen sources. Here's where I get unsure. Week 5 is right in that window where plants naturally start cannibalizing lower leaves as they push energy into the buds. But it's also the window where a lot of growers accidentally underfeed and blame fade when it's actually a real deficiency developing. The upper canopy still looks dark green and healthy, which makes me lean toward natural fade, but I've been burned before by waiting too long to correct. For anyone who mixes their own salts or just has a good eye for this, what's your read? Does true N deficiency usually show upward progression faster at this stage, or does it stall in the lowers for a while before climbing? Trying to decide if I bump my calcium nitrate ratio slightly or just let it ride.
