perpetual auto update, week has been busy

just chopped my blueberry auto last night, probably the most resinous one i've grown in a while. she went 74 days from sprout, yielded right around 2.5oz dry which is solid for one plant in a corner of a 3x3. buds were dense and the smell is ridiculous, kind of a sweet fuel thing that i wasn't expecting from a blueberry leaning strain. now the fun part. i've got a zkittlez auto that just popped her head up two days ago and a second one that cracked yesterday. those two are going into the spots left by the chop. that's the whole point of the perpetual thing, no dark period in the tent, always something in flower, always something just starting. the middle of the tent has a gorilla cookie auto at like day 38 right now, just starting to stack calyxes. she's been trained pretty hard with lst and is sitting super flat, which is exactly what you want in a 3x3 if you're running three plants at different stages. lights stay busy basically 24 hours a day over here. i know some people say autos aren't worth the trouble but running a rotation like this i'm pulling something every 5 to 6 weeks consistently. hard to argue with that.

That sweet fuel note on the blueberry auto is interesting, probably a phenotype thing. I've seen blueberry crosses throw a gassy surprise now and then when the terp expression leans more toward the fuel parent. Did the smell change much through the cure or did it lock in early? Asking because in my experience that sweet fuel combo either deepens into something really complex around week 2-3 of cure, or it kind of flattens out and you're left with mostly sugar. Would be a shame to rush it. The zkittlez autos I'll be curious about too. Every one i've grown has been all over the map on flavor, some are that proper tropical candy thing, some come out weirdly earthy and bland. Classic pheno lottery situation even in autos. One thing i'd push back on a little, the perpetual thing with mixed stages works but your gorilla cookie at day 38 is hitting a point where she really wants stable conditions and no stress from you shuffling plants in and out. I've lost terp quality on mid-flower plants doing exactly this kind of rotation, think the repeated disturbance plus light leaks from opening and repositioning added up. Nothing catastrophic but the nose wasn't what it should've been. Something to keep an eye on when those zkittlez seedlings are small and you're still moving things around.
