quick perpetual update, fresh chop and new sprouts

just pulled a blueberry cheese auto last night, she went 74 days from sprout and honestly one of the cleanest runs i've had in this tent in a while. colas were dense, smelled like straight up fruit loops in the last two weeks of flower. wet weight was solid, hanging to dry in my 2x2 side tent right now with humidity sitting around 60%. while that was finishing up i had two zkittlez auto seeds drop into solo cups about 10 days ago. both popped within 30 hours which is always a good sign. theyre already showing their first true leaves and looking super healthy, no stretching at all under the t5 i use for seedlings. the perpetual thing in a 3x3 gets a lot of side eye from photoperiod growers but honestly its just so smooth once you get the timing dialed. by the time these zkittlez girls need real space, the drying will be done and i can reorganize the main tent. no waiting around for light flips, no revegging accidents, just plants moving through at their own pace. ill try to post some pics of the dry trim on the blueberry cheese later this week. if anyones curious about the zkittlez i started some low stress training notes early this time around, gonna document the whole thing.

fruit loops you said? that's the one that gets me every time with the blueberry crosses, that artificial cereal sweetness that's almost TOO candy. curious if it held through the dry or if it started shifting more toward the cheese side once moisture dropped. in my experience that fruity top note on a lot of blueberry cuts fades fast and you're left with more of the earthy funk by the time cure is done. not a bad thing, just not what you had at chop. on the zkittlez, i'll be real, i've been a little let down by most zkittlez autos i've run terp wise. phenotype lottery seems rougher with the auto versions, a lot of them come out kind of generic tropical with none of that real candy-grape that makes zkittlez worth growing. hoping you pull a keeper pheno but keep your nose sharp on them as they develop, the special ones start showing early in flower and you'll know. the perpetual setup is solid though, no argument there.

The terpene shift during dry is real but I think the direction it goes depends a lot on your dry conditions. I ran a blueberry-dominant auto last spring and kept my dry tent at 60-62% RH with temps around 60F, slow 10-day dry, and the fruity notes actually intensified relative to the funk rather than the other way around. Rushing the dry is usually what collapses those volatile top notes first.
