Scrog update, net is about 70% full
Dropped the net at day 21 from flip and the canopy is really starting to lock in. Running a 90x90cm tent with a single mainlined plant, eight main colas trained out to fill the corners. Right now i'd say 70 percent of the net is covered, the remaining gaps are in the front left quadrant where two branches got a slow start after my last defoliation pass.
What i'm doing this week is just tucking, no more aggressive bending. The stretch is basically done, maybe another few centimeters left in her. I've been weaving the tips under the net every morning and letting them find the light through the squares. The growth from the lower nodes is starting to push up and fill those gaps naturally which is exactly what you want to see at this stage.
Defoliation was light this time around, just pulled the big fan leaves blocking bud sites from below. Left everything on top. Some growers go heavier at this point but i find with mainlined plants the structure is already so clean that you don't need to chop much, the canopy kind of manages itself once the net holds everything flat.
She's sitting at day 28 from flip now, pistils going white and stacking. If the fill continues at this rate the net will be at 90 percent or better by day 35, which is exactly where i want her. Post a pic of your scrog if you're running one right now, curious to see how everyone else's canopy is developing this run.
