THC numbers on the label mean almost nothing
ran a Zkittlez pheno last run that tested at 19% THC. buddy's dispensary flower sitting at 28% tested the same week. guess which one had me glued to the couch for two hours thinking about sound design. yeah, not the 28%.
the problem is labs test differently, batches vary, and most people buying off a number have no idea that terpene content, minor cannabinoids, the actual cure, all of it matters more than that headline figure. a dry, poorly cured 28% nug hits like cardboard. a properly cured 19% with a fat terpene profile hits completely different.
my Zkittlez keeper smelled like grape candy wrapped in diesel, with this weird creamy finish on the exhale. that complexity tells you more about what you're getting than any number on a sticker. the entourage effect is real and the terps are driving it.
stop buying with your eyes on the percentage. smell the jar if you can. ask about the cure. if it smells like nothing or like hay, walk away, i don't care if it tests at 35%.
growers hunting terps know this already. just tired of seeing the market reward pretty numbers over actual quality flower.
