Description
Introduction: Strawberry Cough cannabis seeds hold the potential to grow a strain that is as notable for its aromatic, flavorful properties as for its uplifting cerebral effects. This sativa-dominant variety is cherished for its sweet, fruity notes, and a potent effect that is said to be notably invigorating. Cultivators and consumers alike often gravitate towards this strain for its sensory charm and distinctive cerebral experience.
Origin and Lineage: Strawberry Cough is a sativa-dominant hybrid that was reportedly bred by crossing a Strawberry Fields strain with a mysterious, yet potent, Haze variety. Despite its unclear genetic lineage, Strawberry Cough has carved out a name for itself in the cannabis community for its memorable sensory profile and uplifting effects.
Appearance: Strawberry Cough plants typically grow medium to tall in height, presenting a traditional sativa structure with a loose, somewhat lanky formation. The leaves often exhibit a lively green color, and the buds are usually generously coated with trichomes, imparting a frosty appearance. Intermingled within the nugs, you can see reddish-orange pistils, adding a splash of color that aesthetically complements the strain’s name.
Aroma: One of the most distinguishing features of Strawberry Cough is its aroma. The name is no misnomer, as it does indeed boast a strong, sweet scent that is reminiscent of fresh strawberries. This fragrance is accompanied by subtle undertones of earthiness and herbs, rounding out a complex olfactory profile that is quite enticing to many users.
Flavor: The flavor profile of Strawberry Cough mimics its aroma, offering a sweet, fruity taste that closely resembles fresh strawberries. On the exhale, users may detect hints of earthiness, providing a pleasant counterpoint to the strain’s dominant fruity flavors. The taste is generally described as smooth and enjoyable, enhancing the overall smoking experience.
Effects: The effects of Strawberry Cough are mostly cerebral, characteristic of its sativa lineage. Users often report an immediate uplift in mood and an energizing boost in creativity and focus. Despite its potency, the high is typically clear-headed, making Strawberry Cough a popular choice for those seeking to stay active and productive while enjoying a pleasant euphoria. Its uplifting effects may also be beneficial for those dealing with stress and mood disorders.
Conclusion: In conclusion, Strawberry Cough cannabis seeds offer the potential to cultivate a uniquely flavorful and potent sativa-dominant strain. From its distinctive strawberry aroma and flavor to its uplifting and stimulating effects, Strawberry Cough provides an all-around delightful sensory and cerebral experience. For growers and consumers who value a potent strain with a sweet, fruity profile, Strawberry Cough is a worthy consideration.

The legend and history of Strawberry Cough begins Kyle Kushman (previously a High Times cultivation editor) discovering it in a home grower’s basement in Vermont. Noting the strong smell of strawberries and have been reported to have been grown directly next to a strawberry field. He received a clone of the newly discovered hybrid. It was also said, as Kyle drove to California to grow cannabis legally, he handed out clones for free along the way. In 2013 it would win for Best Flower at the Cannabis Cup. For us long time smokers, we think there is probably some Thai genetics in the strain and it would account for the heavy coughing.
It is a very tasty, but strong and cerebral strain. Novice cannabis users are advised to go lightly. This strain will hurt your lungs if large puffs are taken, no matter how young or old you are. This strain is one to be respected, and is still one of my favorite Sativas. Definitely one of those strain you “have to try” if you have never had it.
